Sometimes it's the little things in life…
Many times, as business owners, we fail to take the time to smell the roses. I am all about CRUSHIN' it in 2012 but I am also all about trying to find more balance to enjoy what is important to me.
This past weekend, I devoted most of the day on Saturday to spending time with my husband and our two furry children. We had a grand adventure and I wanted to share the story with you in a visual way…hope you enjoy!
Our trip to the "mountain"…
We had to cross deserts…
'
Move through jungles…
'
Fight through the thickest of wilderness…

Only to forge deep alligator infested waters…

Sure there was lots of running…

Some are just faster than others…

Clearly, danger was everywhere…

But we finally made it to the mountain top…

And 1,268 things received just the right amount of "watering" during our journey…

Luckily we made it out alive and survived the trip home…

All said and done, it was a GRAND adventure and everyone had fun!

Fun times!
Love it! We have two dogs also. Thanks for sharing your down time with us!
Kim, it should be mostly about the "little things".
The break-throughs your clients get when talking with you, the extra cup of coffee or tea while reviewing your traffic stats, petting your cat while he/she sleeps on your lap while you work (or cuddling your sleeping baby while you type with one hand!)
These are the reasons why I enjoy working from home!
So true, Jenn!
What a great reminder! Its so easy to get caught up in our daily schedules and forget to take time for yourself! Love your furry friends!
Thanks Jaime!

So awesome, Kim, thanks for sharing. I always feel the most relaxed and disconnected when I'm able to get out in nature. Your little adventure proves that you don't need a lot of time or money to find that peaceful balance that's so necessary for our sanity! I'm inspired to find a day trip . . .
I LOVE this! Your dogs are too cute. One of my goals for 2012 is to create memories and savor the moments. Now, I must go play with my furry friends!
Great pictures Kim. What a fun day! Thanks for sharing and reminding us to enjoy life.
The smile which this post put on my face and the laughter within my heart is wonderful Kim, thank you for this… so often, we find ourselves preoccupied with "success" that we forget to find amazement and wonder in all of the little moments that make up our lives. This adventure story which you've so creatively woven is a reminder that we can all live amazing lives while enjoying the simplest of things!
HUGS KIM THANKS SO MUCH YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE GETTING OUTSIDE TODAY AND SPEND TIME WITH MY HUSBAND TOO.

They are so adorable!
I also have a miniature poodle, but she's a mix. She loves running and biking (well, she run while we bike or she drags us while we're riding the bike), totally hyper pooch!
They are great puppies, right? Love mine
