If you want to do well on Facebook, you need to know the 3Ps of Facebook marketing.
What are the 3Ps you ask? The 3Ps are:
Personal: Posts that show more about you and your business
Purpose: Content that adds value
Promotion: Posts that sell
Having a mixed ratio of these 3 types of content will allow you to diversify your content and make your Facebook page more exciting, which will ultimately lead to more engagement.
Now for the bigger question, how do you create a range of content and keep your page constantly updated with these 3Ps?
Is that even possible? Yes! In fact, in this post, I’ll show you how you can provide valuable content without even creating your own.
Creativity is the keyword here!

1. Share other peoples content
That’s right! There is no better type of content than sharing other people’s content. It’s a simple tip but people forget about this all the time!
Sharing other people’s content is the best way to provide valuable content without actually creating it. In fact, you probably only need a couple of minutes to read and share a post.
See how Social Media Examiner does it? While they are sharing their content, they are also sharing relevant and valuable content from their community.
How do you search for this type of content? Here are a few ways.
i. Use Facebook lists
Simply use Facebook lists and add your favorite pages or profile to it. Facebook lists allow you to see all the updates without actually missing them. We need to remember that this is different compared to finding for them in your newsfeed as Facebook lists will display even those that does not show up on your newsfeed.
ii. Use Post Planner
Another method to easily search and share other people’s content is through Post Planner‘s viral photos or trending content.
Both of these features will allow you to search quickly for highly popular photos or links that you can share. You’re getting great content at your finger tips and this will reduce the time you take to find them.

iii. Use Upcontent
UpContent platform recently caught my attention. I’ve heard great reviews about them, so I tried it.
Wow! Their search is pretty impressive. What I like is content will be arranged based on social influence.
2. Post fun questions
Some of the most engaging statuses on Facebook come in a form of questions. These are bound to get endless answers from your community.
They come in a form of:
i. Would you rather
- Would you rather get up early or stay up late?
- Would you rather spend your work day entirely inside or entirely outside?
ii. This or that
- Netflix or YouTube?
- Cardio or weights
- Wraps or sandwiches?
iii. Open-ended questions
- If you could call your 10 year old self and had only 30 seconds to talk, what would you say?
- What do you want to do within the next three years?
- Whom do you most often compare yourself to?
It’s pretty easy to search for these types of question.

3. Look at your mobile
More specifically, look at your photo album. I’m pretty sure you’ve snapped over thousands of photos.
I know this because I have over 7000+ photos in mine. Since you have so many photos taken previously, why not use it? Why let it go to waste?
Browsing my photos, I can see that there are so many that can easily resonate with my audience.
Using my photos I can post:
- Behind-the-scenes photos
- Photos of books that I can easily share and ask my audience what they are reading
- Photos of sceneries
- A random photo and ask my community to give a caption
- Stories about a particular photo.
The possibilities are endless with what you can achieve with your photos.
4. Customers’ content
Here’s a fun way to provide value without creating it, share your customers’ testimonials or photos.
Sharing these type of content shows that you appreciate what they are doing, you’re listening to them and it increases the credibility of your product.
As a watch enthusiast, I’m always looking for that next purchase to add to my collection. When I see how amazing watches look on real, everyday people and customers, it increases my likelihood of buying it.
It’s EASY to do this. All you have to do is ASK for them and give away a coupon, a discount, or anything to incentivize them to do it.
Look out for social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram where you can easily search for photos from your community. Chances are they will be tagging your business.
As you can see, adding value to your Facebook page doesn’t require a lot of time. You can use many of the examples that I’ve shared to add value to your fans without actually creating content.
