During the global pandemic, people were stuck in their homes and consuming a lot of content, trying to up-level their knowledge.
Knowledge is power for people who have it and who can sell it. Knowledge is also powerful for people who are trying to learn something; because through that knowledge they can do bigger things.
Corporations that have traditionally done business in a physical setting haved learned about the digital space…and that’s a genie that’s not going back into the bottle!
The opportunity is absolutely rich right now, and we need to be paying attention to this opportunity.
But there’s a problem.
Many of us have loads of ideas, but maybe don’t understand how to put all the pieces together.
For instance, maybe you’ve tried to put together an online course – and have even taken a course on how to create a course! But then you come out the other side and haven’t created anything, because there are so many pieces and parts that go into it.
Or maybe you’ve created stuff, but then nobody buys it…which is even worse!
Something else I hear often is that all the tech pieces are just too overwhelming, and people think it’s too complicated.
That’s why I think the whole concept of the PDF is doable for absolutely anyone. You’re seeing people create these small nuggets of information, and then selling them.
The point of this is there is another way. I call them mini digital products, and I’ve been doing them forever.
What is a Mini Digital Product?
A mini digital product could be an eBook, worksheet, calendar or tool kit. And this is just the tip of the iceberg! The possibilities are virtually endless. But, here’s the key to all of them: they should be irresistible and should solve ONE problem.
You’re not doing a big brain dump, or creating a full-fledged course. You’re trying to share one little nugget, and only that little nugget. It’s one problem – not 50, not 10. Just one core thing that focuses on a promised transformation. A lot of people focus on trying to create something for their ideal client.
But, I’d like to challenge that thought process, and instead get you thinking about: How do I showcase a transformation? What is it that people want? Because if people want that, they’re going to self-select in.
If I can say to someone, “I’m going to help you make more money today”, and they want to make more money today, they’re going to raise their hand. So, it’s important that you’re thinking in terms of the transformation when creating your mini digital product offer.
Another thing to keep in mind is that looking good is half the battle. It doesn’t have to be perfect, especially the first iteration of it! But you do want it to look good. Imagine going to a website, and you’re immediately totally turned off by the way it looks. It’s the same with the content we put out into the world.
How Do You Create a Mini Digital Product, Quickly and Easily?
This is a struggle for many entrepreneurs. Even though we may have a lot of time on our hands, we’re creating a lot of busy work for ourselves. This really keeps us paralyzed, because it’s not always income-generating.
My hope with the information I’m sharing today is that you realize that it doesn’t take a whole lot of time and effort to create an offer that people are going to snap up.
The interesting thing about mini digital products is they are “snackable” content. When you put it out into the world, you immediately get to see what happens, and see the value people are getting from it.
Don’t worry about it being perfect! Perfection is the enemy of “good enough”. You might want to make it prettier, or add something to it; but iterations can happen over time, so don’t get so wrapped up in perfection that you don’t get it out into the world.
I’d like to share a real-world example of a mini digital product I created, so you can see just how easy it is.
We had a bunch of customer care emails that had taken us years to develop. They were essentially scripts or responses for different scenarios and different situations. We couldn't help but think that maybe other people would find value in them.
So we packaged them up, put them into a PDF, and have now created multiple 5-figures in sales with something we already had.
I bet there are things in your business you have right now that you could package up into PDF format and sell.
Think about that for a second. Wouldn’t it be nice if you woke up every day and had these sales coming into your PayPal account? $27, $37, $47….and it just happened on autopilot. Who wouldn’t want that?
Get Your Mini Digital Product Out Into the World with PDF to Profit
I’ve put something together so you can transition from a reliance on offering services, to selling an infoproduct at will – and it’s called PDF to Profit.
It’s not more endless videos to watch, or a bunch of worksheets to fill out. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
My goal with PDF to Profit is to empower you to actually get a product out into the world within 7 days. It’s 7 days of hands-on workshops with me and my team, so you can ask questions at any time.
Here’s what the training will look like:
Day 1:
We’ll dig into the PDF to Profit formula, because there is a formula for this. It’s something you can simply rinse and repeat. Once you’ve created your first digital product, you can do it again – anytime you want!
Day 2:
On day 2, we’ll define what your offer will be. What does it look like? Is it something you already have? Do you need to create it?
Day 3:
On day 3, we’re going to name your offer.
Day 4:
This is the day we actually create your mini digital product!
Day 5:
On day 5, we’re going to make your offer pretty, because it needs to look GOOD.
Day 6:
We’ll talk about how you’re going to market and sell your offer…because we need to get this goodness out into the world. We’ll focus primarily on free strategies, but I’ll address some paid ways to market your offer as well.
Day 7:
Day 7 is all about RESULTS. What should you expect? How will you measure your results? And most importantly, how will you come up with your next iteration? Because the goal is to get it out into the world, and then see what comes of it. Is it good enough? Do you need to make it better? Do you need to make it prettier, or augment it in some way?
Obviously, we’ll do checklists and a worksheet or two. But these are only there to guide you through the process. I don’t want you spending a bunch of time doing more stuff: I want you to focus on getting your new PDF out into the world.
We’re also going to have a dedicated Facebook group where you’ll get access to all the content. You’ll have support in there from others who are, just like you, trying to create something very quickly that they can turn into a passive income stream.
Finally – and this is the best part – you’re going to get your custom mini digital product DONE. That is the goal of the 7 days.
We’re going to get your PayPal dinging each and every day, so you’re not reliant on always having to get your next customer or client in the door.
We need to be focused on how to leverage the power of our knowledge in a way that we can monetize it. If you’re interested in that, I hope you’ll consider this training, because I’m super passionate that we need to stop trading our time for money!
Don’t Think You Can Make $$$ With a Simple PDF?
At the end of the day, you’re probably asking: Does this actually work? So let me give you a couple of examples.
Some of you may know Angie Gensler. She has a 12-month social media content calendar, that’s broken down by month.
The cost of the calendar is $48, so it’s not expensive…but she has built a 7-figure business with this mini digital product. She does deliver the calendar in few different formats now, but honestly, I think she just started out with a PDF.
Here’s another example. Allie Bjerk has a great little product, 365 Days of Livestream Ideas. She earned over $350,000 in 6 months, with a $27 offer.
When she started, she had a very small or even non-existent email list. She started with a small Facebook ads budget of $30; and she knew if she could just sell one product each day, it would cover her ad spend.
Now she teaches others how to create great mini-offers for around $2,000. She’s evolved, which you eventually can too!
Just with a quick scroll through my Facebook newsfeed, I can see several mini digital product offers: like 800 story ideas for business, and a social media calendar for launches. They’re all in the range of $27-$47.
The point of all this is that anyone can do this. Building a course takes time, effort and knowledge; whereas if you just focus on the first piece of it – your mini digital offer – you can start selling it immediately.
I mentioned that Allie is selling her course on how to create mini-offers for $1,997.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to charge this much!
The cost of my PDF to Profit training is just $37. My intention is just to get as many people as possible creating their first digital product, as quickly as possible.
If you wanted to sell your mini digital product for $47, you’d only need to sell two to make your money back. Do the math, and you’ll see it takes almost nothing for you to recoup your investment.
Have some questions about the PDF to Profit Training…
Following are some questions I get asked frequently.
Can I use this formula to create more PDFs once the class is over?
Definitely! It’s very formulaic, so once you’ve done it the first time, you can do it again and again.
Does the training take place over 7 consecutive days?
Yes, but obviously the content will be available to you at any given time. We hold the trainings LIVE in the group at 11am EST. But if you can’t make that time, the content will be recorded so you can access it any time you want.
How many pages will our PDFs be?
This is going to be totally dependent on what the content is. The key is that it needs to solve one core problem. So how many pages does it take to solve that core problem?
Will I be able to ask you questions?
Yes! Both myself and my team will consistently be available in the group to answer your questions. And if you’d like your question answered by me privately, just send me a private message and I’d be happy to help.
I’m worried I don’t have anything to sell. Is this class for me?
You do have something to sell. Everyone does! That’s the beautiful part about knowledge. We all have something that someone else is willing to pay for.
I always like to use the example of my friend, Russell Brunson. When he first started, he was selling a pdf eBook about how to make a potato gun (I’m not kidding!). He made over a million dollars from that eBook!
This is a great example of how we all have some knowledge that would help shorten the learning curve for someone else – and that’s what they’re willing to pay for.
The Two Things You Need to Make Money
I want to end this post by sharing the two things you need to make money, either online or offline.
First, you need to create an offer that someone wants. Second, you need to get that offer in front of the right “someones”. In other words, you need an offer and traffic. That’s it!
If I’ve piqued your interest, and you’re excited about the prospect of getting your mini digital product out into the world in just 7 days, register for my PDF to Profit training here.
Again, the cost is just $37, which means you only need to sell one or two products to make back your investment. And then you can sit back and listen to the PayPal dings, knowing everything you’re making is pure profit!
Are you ready to create your very own mini digital product? If not, what’s holding you back? Let me know in the comments below!
